How Expensive Are Car Lockout Services?

Car Lockouts unfortunately, happen quite frequently, and if you don't happen to have a spare car key with you, that means you'll most likely have to call a locksmith. This is probably one of the most frustrating and inconvenient things to happen to you during a normal day, to make everything go completely off the rails. The bright side? Springfield, Missouri, has numerous locksmiths to pick from, so you will always have some available to come and get you back in your car. But now for the big question: how expensive are car lockout services in Springfield, MO?

The Day Price

The short answer is this: as low as you can negotiate. Many locksmiths in the area will be more than willing to negotiate with you on price to try to get you taken care of and back on the road. However, since you are probably wanting actual figures, the typical price for a car lockout service in Springfield, MO, during the day falls between the $100-$300 mark, depending on who you call. My personal recommendation would be to call a couple of different locksmiths in the area before requesting service. This will ensure you get the best price, and it may also help you in negotiating with the other locksmith companies as well.

The Night Price

Whenever the clock hits about 7:00 pm, all the locksmiths that are still open will raise their prices substantially for car lockout services. Why? There are a few reasons why we locksmiths charge more at night.

1. We have worked all day, and we are very tired and want to go to sleep

2. It is significantly more dangerous for us to do our jobs at night

3. Being in the dark while trying to open a car door is much harder than it is during the day.

So once 7:00 pm comes around, typically locksmiths will raise their price by about $20-$40, making the price around $120-$320. Then once it turns about 10:30 pm, they will go up about another $20-$40, making the price around $140-$340. Lastly, once midnight rolls around, most locksmiths will charge anywhere from $150 to as high as $500. Again, these prices all depend on who you call and how far away you are.

How Much We Charge

We know getting locked out of your car is frustrating and unexpected. That's why we try to charge one of (if not the) lowest rates in the area. Although we don't currently operate during the daytime hours, our current nightly rates start at $50. Of course, depending on where you are, this could be more, but if you live in Springfield, MO, or the surrounding area, we only charge $50 to get you back in your car and going. Not to mention, we also have many discounts to help lower that cost even more.

So the next time you're in a pinch, remember:

1. Always call multiple places before making a decision.

2. See if you're able to get the locksmith rate any lower than it is

3. If you're locked out of your car at night, find somewhere safe to wait.

4. Never hesitate to give us a call if you have any questions or concerns

Be safe, be smart, and remember that God is the only true refuge and source of peace. He deserves all our praise, all our love, and all of our dedication. No matter what you're going through or how hard your life is right now with all of its ups and downs, God will listen to you. He will help you in your time of need. He loves His children.

Psalm 109:26 - "Help me, O LORD my God; Save me according to Your lovingkindness."

and also remember - 1 Chronicles 28:9b - " If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever."

The LORD is good. Do not reject Him. Abide in Him. Trust in Him. Turn to Him. He is the true and only source of love, hope, strength, and peace. The creator of everything, and the one who gave you life. Seek Him with all your heart, soul, and mind.

Don't Panic I know this one seems obvious, but if you're reading this and are currently locked out of your house, you must stay calm. Panicking right now will not help you get inside your home any faster. Calm down, take a breath, and try to relax. Be Aware of Your Surroundings There are a couple of different things to make sure you think of quickly: 1. The weather - Is it cold? Try to find warmth, whether you get back in your car, find a blanket, or maybe even go to your neighbor's house, or nearby store or business to keep out of the cold. 2. Are you safe outside right now? Is it late and dark on the north side of Springfield? Find a safe place to wait for a locksmith to arrive. Your safety is the number one priority. Call a Locksmith! DO NOT DRILL YOUR LOCK OR KICK YOUR DOOR DOWN. The worst thing you can do is try to get in with brute force. For starters, it doesn't always work, and if you can get in that way, you now have a broken lock that will need to be replaced. Just call a professional to come and help you. Almost all the locksmiths in the area are professionally trained to help in emergency home lockouts. Some locksmiths (like us) specialize in home lockouts. So before you go and break your door, please at least give us or another locksmith a call before something is done that cannot be undone. Be Patient For home lockouts in Springfield, it takes us roughly 10-20 minutes to get to you and then another 5-15 minutes to get you inside your home. We will come as fast as we can and help you in every way we can, but please be patient. I know it's tempting to bust your door down or get a crowbar, but trust me, calling a professional locksmith is the better option. Can't Afford a Locksmith? If you are unable to afford our services for a home lockout or car lockout, please just give us a call. We will try to work with you and get you taken care of. We want you to get to your home, and we will do whatever we can to make it happen. So please, don't hesitate to call us.
